When it comes to eating clean, feeding a family an organic diet can get costly. While we all wish we could feed our loved ones organic food every meal of the day, sometimes it’s just not realistic. Some foods are more important to eat organic than others.
EWG, The Environmental Working Group, is an organization dedicated to empowering people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. One of the ways they do that is with their list of Clean 15 – a list of foods that absorb the least amount of pesticides on the market, and EWG’s Dirty Dozen – the foods with the most absorption of pesticides. If you can’t always buy organic, try to choose foods from the clean 15 to ensure your family is getting the least amount of exposure to nasty chemicals.
